Internship at Duval Guillaume

In the meanwhile some people mailed to ask me if I died or something.. well not really, I’ve never been more alive. I caught up with the Australian Ben, the Spanish girls Ana & Raquel and my close friend Bram (Holland) which I all met in Sweden. I worked most of my days last months on Center Parcs and tried to combine it with the one course I still had to do.

But this week I moved out to Leuven - yup, the big student town baby! I’ll be working for a few months for the advertising giant Duval Guillaume (website), located in Brussels.

Their team seems extremely creative, the clients are the big fat brands and their office is state of the art architecture. I think this will be an inspiring environment for me where I can learn heaps of new stuff.

Dexia Art Gallery online

As an intern at Duval Guillaume E, I’m in the multimedia production.
One of our nice projects that went live today is the Dexia art gallery:

Virtual Tour
The team worked for months to get this flash monster finished.
The site is completely dynamic and database driven.
Technologies used:
  • Flash / Actionscript
  • .NET
  • XML
I tried to add my contribution in the development of the virtual tour (aka “De Gallerij” in Dutch), scriptchecks and an indexable version for search engines.

Become president and win

The Center Parcs - State of Happiness campaign went public today.
It's a fun concept where you can start your own campaign to become “president of the state of happiness”. If you manage to get the most votes in 6 weeks, there will be free accommodation for you on their parks for a whole year. When you start your campaign you get your own space on the president list, flyers, wallpapers, etc to promote yourself


Spent too much time with the brand lately: during the week helping out with this viral campaign at my intern agency and in the weekend performing technical service in one of their parks (student job). Therefore my slogan: time for promotion!

Come A Casa advergame

Another launch at Duval Guillaume E this week was the Come a Casa advergame. The Eurovision song festival starts this month and that inspired the DGE team to come up with a related concept.

The mini site starts up your computer microphone so you can start singing. Dinner plates fall out of the cupboard while doing it and the scripts calculate your score in the end. The 10 best singers get a Come a Casa food package.


In the meanwhile the previous Center Parcs campaign has more then 7000 registrants and had about 300 000 hits within the first 5 days; cool éj! :-)
