This new advertising concept will make a sandwich man (or woman in this case) look totally 2010 (or like robocop). The adwalker is a wearable media solution where a media screen provides relevant commercial information. The cool part is that it has interaction possibilities too. It comes with a tablet pc – like handheld, which allows you to interact with consumers, let them play games yielding contests, or fill out their contact details. Besides this it has a payment and print module. This calls for a new term.. let’s say wearable interactive narrowcasting? I like that you could approach consumers and change locations. This sets it aside form traditional narrowcasting, which is characteristic for being bound to a specific location. See the video for more info:

Of course the goal of interactive narrowcasting is providing valuable information to the customer. With this installation shoppers can (free of charge) learn their brand depended size within 10 seconds. The device scans the body with radio waves.
Also intellifit guarantees a perfect through their system when the output is used online. ( Guy: perhaps this is material for your research? )
Interesting note is that the image immediately gets removed after the customer receives his details on paper for privacy reasons. Be first to comment this article |

2 inspirational movies popped up on fc today. The first one shows a billboard that requires user interaction to actually see the advertised product. The billboards are equipped with real refrigerator doors and are put up at normal height. If a trespasser gets curious and opens the door, he can see the brand new Grolsch beer bottle in it:
It’s simple, straight forward and will defiantly stick to the mind much longer then a regular billboard ad. Campaign done by Jcdecaux and Initiative. Comments (7) |

After Apple, it’s Ikea’s turn to experiment with interactive projections: when someone tries out the bed, the guy rolls off. There is probably more then this with this projection, but this is the only footage I could get. I would very much like to know what happens when the couple is on it!

This interactive installation was demonstrated at Cebit 2007:
Trying out shoes without changing.. looks very much like what has been done in the Addidas innovation center. I like the idea for contracting this to all retailers though! Maybe I can see it for real then one day in the shoeshop around the corner. Be first to comment this article |
