Martijn found an interesting Panasonic technology video today. It shows a working out-of-store controlled in-store display. Check it out, and keep interactive narrowcasting in mind:
Now imagine that you would own a broker agency within a day & night busy street in town.. You could easily offer trespassers services after closing time with this. Browsing around properties, showing in-house video’s on request.. it’s like a mini-website with that little extra of experience right there in your shopping window. Of course this could also be translated to product info for various other retailers and categories. Overall, a nice interactive concept with future in interactive narrowcasting, if applied correctly. Yet another interactive billboard concept. I know this is not narrowcasting - aka digital signage.. But I’d like to refer to the creative use of motion sensors in this one! Don’t ask me what it’s advertising, who made it or where it’s located (please someone enlighten me?)
*update* it's an ad for The Economist. Thx Tijs!

Anyway, when you walk by.. it lights up; which kinda makes you look like a comic book character that gets an idea. Thanks for the tip Shven!

Now this is what I’d like to refer to this as a “feel-good-interactive-campaign”. If my Spanish translation is correct; people could run on the treadmill that was installed in the park. And as for every kilometre they did.. Nike donated $50 in favour of Unicef! Spanish linguists; feel fee to confirm or add extra information ? Comments (1) |

Last week many interesting posts crossed my feeds. Unfortunally I didn’t had the time to gather them all due to my approaching thesis deadline! This was one of the more interesting interactive concepts: The billboards were placed in shelters around Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto, and Calgary. They had communication possibilities with a build in 2 way radio, so you could start talking to strangers that were waiting in other shelters. Neat ad.. since it’s about a walkie talkie phone. Especially the slogans are great (and true) “Your direct line to an awkward conversation”. via Comments (2) |

YMeng, JCDecaux and JWT came up with these interactive ads in the Shanghai subway a while ago:
Took me a while to see all the interaction abilities but as far as I can tell I see: - Motion tracking - Movement sensing - Bluetooth connectivity - Trespasser counting Be first to comment this article |
