The subject I picked last year still stands strong. I decided from a very early stage to research the possibilities with electronics and new media in advertising to make it interactive. You might remember the x-sense project we made back in Sweden? Well, my thesis will be a research to a more or less commercial translation. I didn’t really get much feedback, but I guess the proposition I handed in just needs some polishing. As for the version that’s online now I added information based on the critique I received on the very first coaching and the new contacts I got. Nathalie gave me 2 books which I’m reading right now. My research question became more defined: “Can we do more effectively narrowcasting by adding interaction through means of new media and / or electronics?” And next week we’ll be discussing these propositions deeply. Since the Experience Design conference, I found out who to assign as my co-promoter: Thomas Laureyssens is one of our teachers with a large field of interest and an experienced concept developer. He’ll be teaching game lab in the second term. The first person I will refer to in my thesis for my expert interview will be Daniel Schots. As one of the creative managers within Navajo, I hope he will be eager to help me discuss and test creative interactive advertising concepts. The second will be Nathan Shedroff. I had the chance to talk him on the experience design conference, and he would be happy to answer some of my questions regarding interaction and experience design. These interviews are vital for my research and will be important referrers. You can check the content of my proposition in the read more (Dutch) Ga door met lezen van "Proposition online"
