Bumped into this graduation project via core77. Apparantly it was done in the public library in Eindhoven. I so have to check this out during lunch break sometime, but I’m afraid it’s not there anymore.

Mikontalolights, as the project is called, was created by some students at the TUT (Tampere University of Technology, Finland). The windows / light blocks in the building serve as pixels to represent a massive screen. Games on there are controlled over a mobile phone via BlueTooth or WLAN.
The atmosphere during the launch party on Tuesday made me want to be there. Really.
Interesting concept for online interactive streaming video. A bit like like panorama pictures, exept in this case we are dealing with motion picture. Just click play and drag while the video is playing.
I discovered the touch me dare screen in the main university building the other day. The concept behind is that music samples will be played when the screen is touched on both sides on the same spot. By playing with contact area, pressure and movement you can trigger all kinds of interesting music patterns.
